Hello again,

Today I realized that working in the "biz" may not be as exciting as it sounds. I mean if you'd have told me that I'd have gotten emails by Alan Sparhawk (Low) and Rebecca Gates (The Spinanes) and had lunch with Calvin Johnson (Dub Narcotic Sound System, Beat Happening, Owner of K Records) I think that would be a rather exciting day. Unfortunately it was just another day....in the "biz." Of course this is all kind of joking, but still somewhat true.

After work, I stopped by the station and had a rather serious talk with the incoming Station Manager and Program Director (two fellas who I've been friends with in the past, but who have recently demonized me).

After the "serious" talk, I knew that the girl I'd been seeing was going to break up with me, so I took care of that. Made sure she didn't do it over the phone. I stopped by her place and luckily enough my intuition paid off. I knew it was coming and I actually didn't think it was too bad an idea. I really enjoy hanging out with her and wanted to make sure that even though we were "breaking up" that we could still get together have a beer and shoot the shit. She assured me this and I hope it's true, you know "break ups" do strange things to people. Hopefully now we can just become better friends.

So after that, I stopped back by the station. The "dudes" were painting the studio walls dark red so I pulled up the sleeves and had at it. I think it was good that I was around the "dudes" and had something productive to do, otherwise I think I may have driven myself mad by analyizing the "break up."

Luckily enough I think I will be able to find someone else. Lately I've had a couple great girls showing, rather outrightly, some interest. I'll keep you posted though, be sure of that.

Until then, take care.

Good morning world (though no one's listening, like they should). I hope nothing gets too self-indulgent here. I can't stand people who talk about themselves so I'll do my best to extract myself from what I say.

Still trying to figure all this blogger code out. A constant work in progress. If anyone happens to stumble upon this post and feels particularly generous with some template advice, please contact me at nhileman@indiana.edu.
